The Thames Tideway Tunnel is a 25 km long “super sewer” that aims to clean up the river. Our scope for this substantial scheme included an embedded hard-firm secant pile retaining wall to form the perimeter wall for an air treatment chamber.
We also installed reservation tubes for inclinometers, carried out thermal integrity profile (TIP) testing and provided piling attendances. Finally, we undertook pre-start trials and testing of the proposed concrete mixes, making use of the on-site UKAS accredited testing laboratories operated by BMB JV.
